Let’s Move! Community Design Influences for Active Living In-Person
Regular physical activity supports positive physical, social, and emotional health, but are the communities we live in designed in a way that promotes active living?
Dr. Morgan Hughey, Assistant Professor of Health and Human Performance, and Honors College Faculty Fellow will describe how neighborhood environments are recognized as a fundamental determinant of health. She will illustrate this concept with two of her ongoing projects focusing on access to parks and green spaces and biking and walking for transportation.
Free and open to the public; registration is required.
Box lunches will be provided to those who register by 12:00 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 17th.
Those who don’t pre-register are still encouraged to attend.
The second of three events this fall as part of the Honors College and Friends of the Library Faculty Lecture Series.
